Welcome to The Hague

Tuesday, May 7th.

The day starts with four eggs, two pieces of bread, and two handfuls of raw spinach. Next, a morning training session with Carl. Squash in the Netherlands is amazing. Yesterday Mohamed Abouelghar played for one of the Dutch teams in a league match. Squash is also played by many many adults, recreationally. Later in the day I played a match against a Turkish player who was quite talented.

At this club everybody leaves their bag and spare equipment on the court during the match, right under the tin. Weird, eh?

A highlight of today was visiting the International Peace Palace. It houses the International Court of Justice, the Permanent Court of Arbitration, The Hague Academy of International Law and the Peace Palace Library. Kinda puts the rinky dink Supreme Court to shame...
